. SLALOM RULES & INFORMATION 2010
Registration starts at 8:15 am, and closes at 9:15
Driver meeting at 9:30, first car ASAP
Entry fees: $25 per entry per event for non-members, $20 per entry per event for TLMC members. More than one driver may be registered per car. (Be sure to arrive early enough so registration can space out the drivers more easily.) Drivers are not allowed to compete in more than one car. If combined with a CASC regional event price will be adjusted for regional scoring.
Eligibility: Drivers must possess a valid driver’s license. Anyone on site must sign the waiver form. Passengers are permitted as per the 2010 CASC Autoslaom rules.
Helmet: Driver and passenger must be wearing a Snell approved M2000, SA2000, M2005 or SA2005 helmet. Helmets will be checked.
Vehicle: Must be a 4-wheeled vehicle, must have an effective muffler, must be free of loose items (ie. that might fall off or interfere during competition eg. cassette tapes, ice scrapers, etc.), car’s battery should be secure. The clerk of the course decides eligibility. The driver is responsible for vehicle safety.
Driver Responsibility: Each driver is to report to the TLMC chief marshal immediately after completing each run to find out marshaling responsibility.
Classes: Competitors will be divided in the following classes:
Stock, Street Tire 1, Street Tire 2, Street Prepared 1, Street Prepared 2, MOD
- Driver must complete form on reverse of entry form to assist organizers in determining class. Note from Arris: "The Stock, ST and MOD classes are all exactly the same. I've changed the way the SP classes are divided up. Last year it was based on the CASC SP classes. This year I decided to try to make it easier by making a engine size/tire width limit on SP1.
The way the sheet works is you go through and check off the things you have done to your car. If the box is shaded, that means that mod, or specification is not allowed in that class."
Timing: It is done electronically. Drivers must be aware of the position of the timing equipment. Add 2 seconds for each pylon knocked out of its box or tipped over. Add 20 seconds for each off-course.
Class Position: Each entrant’s best run will be scored, and then placed in order by time.
TLMC Points: Each class winner will receive 100 points, and subsequent competitor’s score will be a percentage of the class winner’s score. Competitor’s overall score is the sum of his/her best 4 event scores (5 if the October slalom is a go).
Trophies: At each event – Plaques for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class.
Annual: TLMC Members – 1st overall receives club trophy and keeper trophy. 1st and 2nd in each class receive keeper trophy.
