2012 Solo II (Autoslalom ) Schedule

The 2012- TLMC slalom series returns to the Barrie Molson Centre parking lot, see below for dates. We have a special event this year.

There will be 6 events; the best 4 of 6 to count. All events except the  Canadian Autoslalom Championship will count toward the Club Championship. Points are awarded only at events where membership is valid; points cannot be awarded retroactively.

Please note the new changes this year - Registration time and new car classing rules.

Registration starts at 8:00 am, and closes at 9:15

Driver meeting at 9:15, first car away at 9:30

We will be using CASC Slalom rule and SSCA car classification.

Entry fees: $30 per entry per event for non-members, $20 per entry per event for TLMC members. More than one driver may be registered per car. (Be sure to arrive early enough so registration can space out the drivers more easily.) Drivers are not allowed to compete in more than one car.

Membership fee: $25.00 This is a one time per season fee and will reduce your entry fee by $10.00/entry. Essentinally paying for itself in 3 events.

Eligibility: Drivers must possess a valid driver’s license. Everyone on site must sign the waiver form. Passengers are permitted as per the 2012 CASC Autoslaom rules.

Helmet: Driver and passenger must be wearing a Snell approved M2005 or SA2005, M2010 or SA2010 helmet. 2010 helmets are good until December 31, 2014 as per this bulletin : FOR FULL (ASN CANADA FIA) HELMET REGULATIONS CLICK HERE
Helmets will be checked.

Vehicle: Must be a 4-wheeled vehicle, must have an effective muffler, must be free of loose items (ie. that might fall off or interfere during competition eg. cassette tapes, ice scrapers, etc.), car’s battery should be secure. The clerk of the course decides eligibility. The driver is responsible for vehicle safety.

Driver Responsibility: Each driver is to report to the TLMC chief marshal immediately after completing each run to find out marshaling responsibility.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of our regular workers for registration cannot be at the first event, so we are in desperate need of workers for registration.  Please contact Arris ( <snizzoop@gmail.com ) or TLMC at ( twinlakesmotorclub@gmail.com ).  We need to have more members willing to work at helping with set up and clean up.  These club events do not work without a bit of help from everyone.  Don't wait to be asked - step up to the plate.  We don't want to burn out anyone.
